Ed Miller of TheEngineWorks.com was chosen by Clevite to compete in
their Engine Builder's Challenge at the AERA Trade Show held in Vegas in
April of 2005.
Ed was teamed up with Kevin Webber of Hendrick's
Motorsports to build against another engine builder & an associate from
the D.E.I. group.
The competition was to be the quickest to build a Ford 351 Windsor wet
sump from the bare essentials and run it for one minute.
Ed won the first round by
completing the build in 30 minutes and 21 seconds in true "ELVIS"
fashion with a hang over - little sleep. He took the final round
as well when he smoked 'em by completing his build in 25 minutes
and 39 seconds.
